I thought that I would transfer this little boy and his mirror to a piece of carving rubber in order to make a stamp. I'm not at all sure that it will work out or not, but there is only one way to find out.......
to get carving.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it works out, Sue! I saw a carved stamp on someone's blog yesterday that was so detailed and precise, I couldn't imagine how she had achieved that level of accuracy. I'll admit, it inspired me to get a bit of practice - as have you! (thanks!)
Hi Gill, unfortunately you will have to wait a little longer, as I made a mess of the carving right from the start. I'll try to repair my 'too deep' gouge, but I really don't think that it is salvageable.I just wasn't concentrating and used the wrong tool, so that the line under the child's arm is much too thick.I do hope that you were concentrating better than I was!
