Local Idea of Sympathetic Develoment!!
It may be cutting edge technology and architecture, but it's just plain ugly in this setting I think.

Inverewe Garden & Tobermorey.
This is the wonderful walled garden on the edge of the estuary at the Garden of Inverewe.
There was quite a lot of this very large lichen growing at Inverewe.
Here we were coming in to land at the village of Tobermorey, made famous as Ballymorey in the childrens' BBC TV series.

The Garden of Pitmedden.
I don't fancy doing all that trimming and shaping at all.
I do love these animated rabbits in the garden.

Edinburgh Museum.
What a wonderful museum this is, from the light airy and spectacular building itself, to the well displayed and interesting exhibitions. One of the best museums in the world in my opinion!

Greyfriars Bobby.
The little memorial to Greyfriars Bobby not far from the Greyfriars church in Edinburgh.
The notice in the cemetery not far from the alleged burial place of Bobby. Someone has thoughfully added the little bit at the bottom right!

Skulls and Crossed Bones.
This is a tombstone mounted on a wall at Greyfriars church in Edinburgh Scotland. What an amazing posture the skeleton has with the book it is holding in one hand. Is it dancing do you suppose?
And a few more from the Greyfriars churchyard.
This one is from the graveyard at the tiny Scottish town of Strathmiglo.

Edinburgh.
I have been studiously changing the date of the upload to this Blog to match the day that the photo was taken, but it's really such a bother that I don't think I'll do it any more. Therefore don't take any notice of the date with each entry, it'll just be the upload date.
I rather liked this fellow in his niche on the entrance to Edinburgh castle, obviously an old Scottish King, but I have no idea who he was.
No visit to Scotland would be complete without a visit to a tartan weaving facility, or so I'm told.
Here's me walking back to the hotel in the bitterly cold wind and intermittent rain.
