Playing with Photoshop on a Gelatin Print.

One of the fun things with any printing is that you don't have to stop with the original image.

I really enjoy further playing around with filters in Photoshop. Even if the images don't get used in 'work', it's a lot of fun!

Gelatin Plate Printing Again.

I wanted some images of grasses and leaves as background for a current project, so decided to go back to Gelatin plate printing again for more abstract results than the stamps that I have been playing around with lately.

A Bit too Rough around the Edges!

After scanning the lino cut into Photoshop and messing about with it using the flower stamp that I had cut previously. I don't like the symetrical leaves at the base however!

Working with 'proper' lino this time, not the 'easy cut' blocks I used previously. It's much easier to get a fine even line with the lino, even though the white blocks are softer to cut through.

This is my next piece in the monthly International Architecture textile challenge. The challenge was to work in either black and white, or a very limited colour scheme in A5 size to depict architecture from different countries as chosen by our group of 7 people in rotation. This is the 4th in the series.

I don't know whether it is a result of all the rain over the last few months, but our olive tree is laden with fruit. I picked all that I could reach standing on a step ladder, but there are thousands still up there. Unfortunately pickling them isn't such a speedy job!
